Public Relations Paid Apprenticeships
WordLab is a public relations agency in Portland, Maine with two missions: training the next generation of public relations professionals and providing affordable services to nonprofits and small businesses. Client Associates will work with real-world clients under the supervision of experienced professionals, gaining both experience and focused education in the field.
This is a 12-month program, at the end of which Client Associates will have a certificate and be well positioned to take a job in the field.
To qualify, you must hold a associates’s degree in a communications-related field and have a basic understanding of public relations and marketing practices. Prior work/volunteer/internship experience in the field is helpful but not required. The application process includes a telephone pre-screening interview, an in-person or video interview, and the submission of writing samples.
